THE CHALLENGE
This district’s major deployment of 23,000 Dell Chromebooks required a solution to securely charge and manage the new devices in the classroom. An external outlet built into the charging cart was also needed for teachers to use for charging their own mobile device during class. With an order of over 600 charging carts, delivery volumes had to remain on a timely schedule over the course of a month.
THE SOLUTION
Bretford’s optimized CUBE Cart was chosen for its 36-device capacity and digital timer that charges devices quickly and safely while harnessing power from a single outlet. CUBE Carts are ready-to-use out of the box, allowing for immediate Chromebook setup. In addition, the carts made a colorful splash in classrooms – the district selected Pacific Blue and Tangerine finishes from Bretford’s custom vibrant color palette.
By the careful planning and attention of Bretford’s Customer Service team, 642 carts were shipped in manageable deliveries over one month. As a result, warehouse storage issues were avoided all together and the IT department was able to implement use of the carts at a doable pace without getting overwhelmed.
