Bretford’s Privacy Policy is designed to help you understand how we collect and use your information. By using or accessing the Bretford Connect Service, you are accepting the practices described in this Privacy Policy. We may change this Privacy Policy from time to time. We encourage you to review the Privacy Policy whenever you access the Bretford Connect Service to stay informed about our information practices.

Information Gathered by Bretford

This Privacy Policy covers our treatment of “personally identifiable” information (meaning it can be used to specifically identify you as a unique person) or “non-personally identifiable” information (meaning it cannot be used to specifically identify you) that we may collect in your use of the Bretford Connect Service. We use both types of information, and combinations of both types. This Privacy Policy does not apply to the practices of any other company or individual that we do not own or control.

Visitors: For visitors to our website and registered users, we log certain information, such as your IP address, browser type and usage data, for example, how much time you spent visiting, which accounts you accessed, and which pages you accessed within the Bretford Connect Service.

Registration: If you choose to register with us, Bretford may ask you to provide your name, email address and physical address. Bretford also asks each user to create an account ID and password. Bretford may ask you to provide demographic information, such as age, gender, interests or occupation to enhance our ability to provide a more personalized experience for users. We may also, via a third party service, collect credit card information for any subscription fees, paid services or purchases.

Feedback and Chat: We may collect other information when you provide feedback or comments or communicate with others through our systems.

Cookies and Web Beacons: Bretford uses “cookies” – small files containing a string of characters sent to your computer that uniquely identifies your browser to administer its website and provide a more tailored and user-friendly service to you. For example, we may use cookies to count the number of unique computers accessing our website. You can set your browser to refuse cookies from the Bretford Connect Service if you choose. When you access the Bretford Connect Service or open one of our HTML emails, we may automatically record certain information from your system by using different types of tracking technology. This “automatically collected” information may include IP Address, a unique ID, version of software installed, system type, the content and pages that you access on the Bretford Connect Service, and the dates and times that you visit the Bretford Connect Service. You can usually instruct your browser, by changing its settings, to stop accepting cookies or to prompt you before accepting a cookie from the websites you visit. If you do not accept cookies, however, you may not be able to use all portions of the Bretford Connect Service or all functionality of the Bretford Connect Service.

Uploads: Bretford allows the uploading of user provided personal data submissions. This data is used for the sole benefit of a registered user of the Bretford Connect Service. Bretford does not use this information except to provide registered users the means to easily identify and manage individuals and devices assigned to one or more TechGuard Connect locker bays within their organization.
